ABOUT ALLEY OOP HOOPS

Alley Oop Hoops, Inc. is a mentoring program connecting youth to community advocates through our shared love of the game of basketball. Our mentors help student athletes reach their full potential on and off the court, with programs focused on leadership development, STEM education, entrepreneurship, career readiness, community engagement, and wellness, both physical and mental.

The organization was founded by Raleigh-native Josh Haymond in June 2020, as an approved
501(c)(3) charitable organization, EIN 85-1483359. All contributions are tax deductible. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for the contribution.

AREAS OF IMPACT

  • Success in education and career, through STEM, financial literacy and entrepreneurship stewardship.
  • Build community leaders, through awareness of community issues, relationship awareness, and leadership programming.
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle, through physical, emotional, nutritional, and intellectual learning.

WHY MENTOR?

Mentoring may feel daunting. You may believe you do not have the time, skills, or personality to become an effective mentor. Before making a decision on mentorship based on what think you lack, it is important to understand the benefits a mentor can make on a child.
WHY WE NEED YOU

READY TO SHARE YOUR PASSION?

Interested in volunteering? We can connect you with opportunities in the Triangle. There is no "one size fits all" in what a volunteer can give. Our team will empower you to give what you can, without guilt, supporting your interests in basketball, community, or court-to-career initiatives.
