Tori Cook joins Alley Oop Hoops as Program Coordinator

Please join us in welcoming Tori Cook as Program Coordinator of Alley Oop Hoops!

Tori is a graduate student completing her Masters of Social Work Program with the University of Kentucky.

Tori is a Pilates instructor, a member of the Legislate Committee for the North Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, and a research assistant with the University of Kentucky, studying the effectiveness of social support programs for BIPOC fathers.

Tori focuses on holistic health initiatives and political social work that contributes to equitable policy reform, community organizing, political advocacy, and racial justice.

As a future social worker, Tori believes it is essential to develop new systems of thinking and practices that shift narratives and democratize opportunities.

As a former D-1 athlete, she values the relationships and the community that the game creates and hopes to support youth beyond the game of basketball.
